 TRUSTING GOD IN EVERY STEP

Jean & Diana Alexis

Servants of Jesus Christ

Jean and Diana together in church

Hi all of you who are reading this prayerletter. We are deeply grateful for all the blessings God has given us to taste His love and grace. In this letter, I want to sum up our experiences throughout this year 2025.

DOING MINISTRY IN PAJAN

Pajan is located in Manabi, a two-hour drive from Guayaquil, our hometown. While Jean and I wait to go back to Madagascar, God placed in our hearts to disciple our people. Earlier this year, we prayed, and the Lord responded through our local church, which was looking for servants to go there, and we immediately signed up.

We joined another couple from here Guayaquil, and together we have 4 houses we visit every two weeks. We are studying the foundations of the Christianity and the new disciples are learning with joy and finding out new things for their lives.

PAPERWORK FOR JEAN IN PERU

Many of you might be wondering why we're going to Peru to take care of Jean's paperwork. Well, in short, when Jean and I got married, he completed all the necessary procedures to obtain his permanent resident visa. Afterward, we went on our mission trip to Madagascar, and upon returning to Ecuador, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility fined him and revoked his visa. As soon as he paid the fine, he was informed that he had to leave the country to renew the same revoked visa. And now we're here in Peru, since it's the closest country to complete these procedures.

But the problem doesn't end there. Now my husband needs your prayers because the Ecuadorian Consulate in Peru is requiring his criminal record certificate issued in Haiti or Madagascar. Since Jean went to Madagascar, it seems the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ecuador isn't considering all the years Jean has lived in Ecuador, and for that reason, they're asking for documents issued in his country of origin or documents covering the last five years of his life.

We are still in Peru praying for a miracle so that the Ecuadorian authorities will grant my husband a visa that will allow him to enter Ecuador and so that we don't have to stay here any longer.
